Alexia Mpidi Bita obtained her LL.B. in French-German Law from University Toulouse 1 (France) and University of Mannheim (Germany) in 2014. Alexia then graduated with a LL.M. in International & European Business Law from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) in 2015. After working in the legal field in Germany, Alexia moved to Canada to obtain her LL.M. Common Law, at Peter A. Allard School of Law, the University of British Columbia in 2018 and was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2020.

Alexia’s practice is primarily focused on construction disputes from small housing projects to major construction projects, including transmission lines and pipeline projects in Canada often resolved through alternative dispute resolution means. Alexia has also developed a solicitor practice focused on construction contract review and financing and commercial closings. Alexia is known for her attention to details, team work and drive to take on challenges.

Alexia is involved in the BC Roadbuilders Association and is a Committee Member of the Women in Road Builders. Alexia is also a member of the West Coast Environmental Law association and on the Environmental Dispute Resolution Fund roster of lawyers.

When Alexia is not working, she can be found running along the seawall in the Vancouver area, racing local races or baking her favorite French recipes.

Alexia is bilingual in French and English.
