Andrea’s practice focuses on construction, infrastructure (private and P3), and energy. She advises clients on contract disputes and drafting, defect and delay claims, builders lien issues, negligence and tort claims, transactional disputes, and insurance coverage matters. Andrea represents parties during all project phases from initial planning and design through construction, handover, and operations. She assists clients with resolving complex legal issues through strategic and practical thinking, with a view to clients’ commercial objectives.
In the energy sector, Andrea has worked on a broad variety of projects including LNG, run-of-river hydro, solar, wind, peaking facilities, and transmission. Andrea is a former director of CleanEnergyBC, the Provincial association of independent power producers in BC, and remains heavily involved in the association and industry. Andrea also Chairs the Construction Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch. She is ranked as “One to Watch” in corporate and commercial litigation by Best Lawyers in Canada.
Andrea is called to the bar in both BC and Alberta and has appeared before the trial and appellate courts in both Provinces. She also assists clients with international and domestic arbitrations, mediations, and expert determinations.
Andrea was born and raised in North Vancouver. When she is not chasing her daughter around local playgrounds and trails, Andrea can be found biking, golfing, or skiing.
