Catherine Bender is an E-Discovery Specialist/Litigation Paralegal who joined Mclean & Armstrong LLP in 2017. In addition to managing e-discovery for the firm, she provides full cycle litigation support and occasionally assists the corporate department on land title matters. She has nineteen years of experience in law firms in the U.S. and Canada and currently serves as the Vice President for the Vancouver chapter of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists.

Her primary focus is e-discovery management, including:

• Advising legal teams on eDiscovery strategies
• Providing supervision and coordination of e-discovery services including planning, budget preparation, project management and supervision of e-discovery workflow
• Administering e-discovery software
• Managing document collection, processing, review, and production
• Organizing and maintaining ESI and other litigation documents
• Creating and tailoring databases to case-specific needs
• Providing training and technical assistance to lawyers and support staff
• Managing service provider relationships, service provider procurement and managed service contracts for e-discovery services
