Chris obtained his Law degree from Bond University in Queensland, Australia, where he obtained First Class honours as the top student in his graduating class. Before studying law, Chris completed his Bachelor of Arts specializing in Military History at the University of Calgary.
Chris’ practice focuses on commercial and construction litigation with an emphasis on resolution prior to litigation and achieving practical solutions to disputes. He has extensive experience acting for subcontractors, contractors and owners in all forms of construction related disputes including in mediation, arbitration and various levels of court, including at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Chris has specific knowledge and experience in remedies under the Builders Lien Act and regularly provides advice on all stages of construction from tendering, contract negotiation, claims management to dispute resolution. Chris’ goal is to offer his clients commercial, practical advice.
Chris is heavily involved in the construction industry acting as a board member for the BC Roadbuilders Association and the Master Municipal Construction Document Association.
